Matrix equations have been widely used in many areas such as control theory, engineering, statistics, etc. There are many hot topics, for example, Sylvester equation and its generalized have been studied for several decades but many researchers are still working in this area. The main objective of this conference is to provide a forum for people in this area to share their research, survey the recent progress and identify new directions of research. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following

  1. Sylvester equation;

  2. Solving matrix equations: numeric and symbolic computations;

  3. Matrix equations over general rings;

  4. Computing generalized inverses of matrices;

  5. Other related topics.
